Security Fence Installation for Protection

It is a statement that tells everyone around you, “I value my home and property and I can protect my own interests.” A well-designed fence can say a lot about a home and its owner. Fall Fence Maintenance with Hercules Fence
October is here and fall is finally upon the Mid-Atlantic region. Fall means crisp weather, apple picking, and a new style of yard work. With the changing of the season comes the need for fall fence maintenance. Each fence style requires some type of fall maintenance, depending on the style of fence you have for your home.
Fall Fence Maintenance for your Home
- Wood- Wood fences typically require more maintenance in general because of they run a higher risk for damage. During the fall, be sure to remove any debris resting on top or at the base of your wood fence. Leaves around the posts of your fence could lead to rotting and warping of your fence.
- Vinyl- Vinyl fencing requires the least amount of maintenance overall because of the durable materials used to create the fence. Rinsing your fence with soap and water whenever dirt or debris is noticeable will help your vinyl fence last through the fall.
- Aluminum- An aluminum fence also requires a low amount of maintenance generally. During the fall, avoid hanging heavy decorations and keep your fence free of debris.
- Chain Link- During the fall season, consider installing fence slats to increase your overall curb appeal. Remove any debris that happens to get attached to your chain link fence to decrease the chance of rusting.

How To Successfully Install A Fence On Uneven Ground
Do you need a fence installed on uneven ground? If yes, this article will help you successfully accomplish this installation by providing information on how to install a fence on uneven ground. Get started now.
Most fences (excluding panel fencing) can be safely and properly installed on uneven ground through contour fence construction. The rails of the fence should follow your property using the contour method, no matter if the ground goes up or down. The task is moderately easy.
To install a fence on uneven land, you will need the following items:
Ø A tape measure
Ø Measuring wheel
Ø Hammer
Ø Mattock
Ø Ball of twine
Ø Post hole digger
Ø Shovel
Ø Level
Ø Pine or plastic stakes
Ø Iron tamping rod
Ø Nails
Ø Fence rails/planks
Ø Saw
Ø 8-foot-tall wooden fence posts
The planks that will be used for fence rails will need to be measured. The rails should be nailed to the middle of the fence posts. Next, the fence line needs to be setup. You should use a measuring wheel to install the fence. Be sure to inspect the straightness of the line as you install the fence.
Afterwards, stakes should be replaced with post-holes. Use a mattock to dig the pits of the hole. Once this task is completed set the fence posts and determine where you want to place the rails on your post.
Nail the top and bottom rails to the center-line of the first post and keep proceeding until all posts are nailed from top to bottom.
Remember to follow the contours of the ground by always nailing the fence rails and follow the contours of the ground by nailing the fence rails in the same positions on the fence rails.
For the best fence installations, hire Hercules Fence.
Hercules Fence has a superb reputation for quality service and products. For example, we installed a fence for Harrison Tyler, one of the living grandsons of the 10th President of the United States, John Tyler.

Benefits of a Privacy Fence
Yes, privacy fences provide…privacy, but they also offer much more than that to a homeowner. As this insightful article on Estantres.org explains, there are many benefits to a privacy fence for your home:
1. Noise reduction. Privacy fences create a solid, or nearly solid, wall around your yard which will help deflect sound. If you live on a busy or noisy street, a privacy fence will provide some measure of quieting the din. If you already live in a relatively quiet area, you may find a solid fence will knock down the volume to almost nothing. You can’t cut out all noise, but choose a fence that has few gaps, such as a stockade style, and go for the tallest you can to get the most effective noise reduction.
