In launching its eighth annual school supplies drive, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) set out to benefit students at the John Burroughs Education Campus. Hercules Fence was proud to be one of the many contributors who partnered with AOBA to support this school and help set its students up for a future of success and learning in the 2014-2015 academic year.
The John Burroughs Education Campus seeks to educate children from preschool through 8th grade in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, commonly referred to as STEM fields. When students are encouraged to excel in these fields, they become well prepared for a wide variety of potential careers in the future. As the fencing experts from Hercules know, being able to design and engineer a quality product is a very rewarding experience, and it hopes that its donation to the John Burroughs Education Campus will help to foster this sense of accomplishment, as well as a love of learning, in this generation of students.
AOBA has collected funds in order to purchase the essential materials that the John Burroughs Education Campus needs, including items such as notebooks, textbooks, art supplies, and other tools that will facilitate the students’ experience and allow them to achieve their highest potential of performance in the classroom.
